Artist Alex Torres puts together an impressive collection of oil paintings using the meticulous “woven” technique. I would like to know how many hours, days, and months it took to finish one painting. You have to applaud him for the hard work and dedication it took to follow through with this project. Insane.
This collection focuses on recreating iconic images, like portraits featuring Mick Jagger, Marilyn Monroe, Oprah, Pablo Picasso, Elvis, and Charles Darwin.
My works are an answer to my own appreciation of Earth’s needs. I reconstruct iconic images that represent both classic and modern times from all branches of human development, including the arts, politics, science, education and military. I create this by changing the context of the initial forms into ecological, fragile, ephemeral and natural elements; leaves, weaving, feathers and other elements formed in nature. With each element carefully constructed, I create an image.

Music videos are a thing of the past, according to me. But having seen enough behind-the-scenes footage, my patience is running thin. This video needs to drop! Its a dope song and the video will most definitely be a joy to watch.
